Position Summary 


TBG is seeking a Joint Intelligence Exercises Planner to conduct Joint Intelligence Exercise Planning activities at the newly established USSPACECOM. 




Principle Responsibilities of the Position:  


· Position responsible for developing, documenting, and orchestrating the USSPACECOM intelligence enterprise during Combatant Command exercises, wargames, and technology demonstrations.  


· The Joint Intelligence Exercises Planner shall coordinate and integrate DoD and national intelligence capabilities to challenge, train, and assess USSPACECOM intelligence enterprise. The position shall support intelligence readiness across all ongoing operations and planning efforts.  


· Joint Intelligence Exercises Planner shall document intelligence gaps and shortfalls and supports readiness reviews. Informs and advises JFSCC J2, J25, and J28.  


· Coordinates with USSPACECOM J3, J5, J7, and J8.  


· Joint Intelligence Exercises Planner shall apply Joint doctrine principles, instructions, and manuals supporting the development of campaign, contingency and crisis planning.  


· The position shall monitor and review strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions from higher echelon headquarters and makes recommendations to ensure compliance and / or consideration in planning efforts.  


· Integrates strategy, guidance and directives into exercises, wargames and technology demonstrations. Documents exercise scenarios, wargame structure, and technology demonstration objectives in support of USSPACECOM priorities.  


· The position shall coordinate and document intelligence assessments, lessons learned and readiness reviews. 


Education Required:  


· Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree. 


· The Joint Intelligence Exercises Planner shall demonstrate proficiency in common Joint Intelligence Exercise Planning concepts.  


· Previous experience as a Joint Intelligence Exercise Planner at a Combatant Command.  


· A Joint Professional Military Education (Phase II) completion, and Joint Intelligence Planner Course (Phase I) completion are highly desired. 




Experience Required:  


· Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements. 


· For analysts, demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursues developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology. 


· For analysts, demonstrates ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks. 


· For analysts, demonstrates in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings. 


· Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight. 


· For analysts, demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products. 


· Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. 




Special Knowledge/Skills Required:  


· US government clearance: Current Top Secret/SCI
