Position Summary 

 

TBG is seeking an Intelligence Plans Officer to assist Intelligence Plans Division leadership and staff with the planning, organization, development, coordination, and execution of intelligence planning activities in order to drive objectives and evaluations of Intelligence Campaign Plans (ICP) efforts, Interagency (IA) information sharing efforts, and Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and Combatant Command (CCMD) exercises in support of division leadership and intelligence requirements. 

 

  

 

Principle Responsibilities of the Position:  

 

· Plan and coordinate ICP production and implementation for the J2 Directorate, other directorates, components, Intelligence Community (IC), and coalition and partner nation representatives 

 

· Identify strategic and operational requirements for CCMD military operations, including collection capabilities, structure, manpower, communication, and logistics to meet operations requirements and identify shortfalls/gaps and develop courses of action and mitigation strategies 

 

· Assess existing/future capabilities to meet operations requirements for CCMD military operations 

 

· Identify shortfalls/gaps and develop courses of action and mitigation strategies for CCMD military operations 

 

· Conduct studies of intelligence planning programs that are broad in scope with frequently undefined limits, to evaluate effectiveness of current programs, feasibility of future programs and development of planning efforts as well as planning and advising on the implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods or approaches of substantial scope and difficulty 

 

· Develop specific programs and establish methods and procedures, which will best accomplish planned objectives 

 

· Serve as a Plans Division representative on working groups with functional or multi-disciplinary emphasis that involve intelligence planning issues as well as plan, develop internal strategies, and organizes meetings and support teams to accomplish planning tasks 

 

· Brief senior level officials on planning efforts; demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while providing advice and assistance to resolve problems and develop recommendations for leadership on planning issues 

 

· OCONUS travel may be required 

 

Education Required:  

 

· Master’s degree and 10 years intelligence and/or service planning experience at echelons of command above Battalion/Squadron or credentialed SME or recognized specialist in relevant field or  

 

· Bachelor’s degree and 12 years intelligence and/or service planning experience at echelons of command above Battalion/Squadron or credentialed SME or recognized specialist in relevant field 

 

  

 

Experience Required:  

 

· Comprehensive knowledge of the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility and organization 

 

· Joint/Service Intermediate Level School [JPME-I, CGSC, SAMS / SAAS / SAWS / MAWS / JAWS], and JIP Level I / Tier I certification preferred or proof of working understanding of multiple intelligence disciplines and an awareness of CSA capabilities 

 

· Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and provide executive level input to briefings and written products 

 

· Systems experience with at least one intelligence discipline application, in the areas of intelligence analysis, collection management, or targeting training  

 

  

 

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:  

 

· US government clearance: Current Top Secret/SCI with CI polygraph
